I would definitely vote for the entire stepper motor package to be 24v... only because I've had zero problems with the high-torque motors from Anaheim Automation. (and a few problems with the Jameco Valuepros)

    24Y1 $45.30

Sparkfun also carries cheap, small, discrete 24v power supplies that seem to interface will with these motors and an EasyDriver:

I think the FM transmitters got left out by accident:

Here's what an audio kit should contain speaker-wise:
    - 4 Speakers
    - 1 Sub (this can be very important for some installations, and my guess is that a few people may want to just use the subs for specific applications)
    - Stands (not for the subs)
    - Cables (all have XLR or balanced 1/4' inputs)

Here's the two options in order of preference (note that we should be able to find a better price than bhphotovideo, but that's probably a good reference price):
    ======================
    Option 1:
    --------------------------------------
    • 12 x Adam a-7 - 100W, active speaker - $575

    • 3 x Adam sub-7 - powered subwoofer - $550
    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=adam+sub7&N=0&InitialSearch=yes
    • speaker stands (no time to find model now)
    • cables

    Option 2:
    --------------------------------------
    • 12 x KRK VXT6 - 90 Watt, active speaker - $450

    • 12 x VXT6 Protective Grill - $50

    • 12 x K&M 26750 Speaker Stand - $145

    • 3 x KRK 10s - 225W powered subwoofer, $400
    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=krk+10s&N=0&InitialSearch=yes
    • cables

Would be great if we added some biosignal sensors. I'm sure they'll get some usage if we have them. Here's a link we can look at to see what may be pertinent:

might be tough to sell the committee on small parts like temperature sensors and stuff. maybe better to concentrate on expensive items?
